BABL is a prosperity platform for powerful women. We're an intimate community of senior leaders, board members, entrepreneurs, creators, and investors in media, technology, entertainment, and adjacent industries — women building something, leading something, or funding something, who believe the fastest way up is to bring others with you.

BABLs come from many walks of life, but they share one thing in common: they’re here to do more. These are the powerful women who are striving to be exceptional, breaking barriers in the corporate world, and building something new.

Our mission is advancing professional and personal prosperity. We do that through a curated community, focused sub-communities we call Wings, Regional Communities in your home region, and gatherings at the industry's tentpole moments, all-member and ally events, and curated Executive Retreats.

By referral. A current member nominates you, you complete a short referral form, and the BABL Board reviews candidates as a group each quarter. If admitted, you'll be invited to complete your member profile and payment.

Referral is the primary path to becoming a member. Be sure to include the name of the BABL who referred you, and what you want to get out of the BABL community.  If you don't know a current member, request a referral through our website and tell us who you are and why BABL — we do read them.

Quarterly, capped at roughly 30 new members per quarter. The cap is deliberate — it protects the intimacy that makes this community work. Referrals we can't take in one quarter carry to the next.

$1,800 per year, about $150 a month. Billed annually. You pay annual dues through the payment link once your referral application has been accepted. Membership runs twelve months from the date of payment and renews annually. We'll remind you well before renewal.

BABL grew organically from networking at industry events to a lively group chat into a community with a website, a job board, Wings (our topical cohorts focused on driving prosperity for members), regional chapters, and a calendar of events across the country. That takes real infrastructure and a team to run it. Membership dues cover that infrastructure.

Comparable curated executive women's communities run from roughly $2,400 up to $5,800–$7,900 a year; the large open-enrollment networks sit lower, but they aren't referral-only rooms of two hundred senior women. We chose to keep dues modest and fund the rest through sponsors and corporate underwriters. Our strategy is to partner with like-minded organizations who provide valuable resources for BABLs.

The website, the membership platform and access to content from Wings and workshops, Membership Directory, the Job Board and Marketplace, event and community operations across our regional chapters, and the systems that keep a community of this size organized.

Membership dues are non-refundable. If something has gone wrong, tell us — we'd rather fix it. If you’re facing hardship or your situation has changed, email us at membership@bablhq.com.

Yes. Email membership@bablhq.com and we'll sort out invoicing and whatever documentation your finance team needs.

If you’ve been a BABL member since before October 5th, 2026, you need to do two things, about five minutes total:

Make sure you’ve filled out the Member Referral form with your details

Complete payment to set your membership live

What's the deadline? October 5, 2026. After that, access to the WhatsApp community, the Wings, your Regional Community, the Job Board, and Marketplace pauses until your membership is complete.

What if I miss the deadline? Reach out and we’ll do our best to accommodate you. 

What if I don't want to continue? That's a completely legitimate answer and there's no hard feelings. Reply to any membership email and let us know so we stop nudging you.

Wings are BABL's topic-based sub-communities — small rooms of exactly the right women inside the larger community. We call them Wings because they're the wings of the BABL butterfly: the parts that get you off the ground and help you take flight, personally and professionally.

Which Wings exist? Three launch with membership on September 1:

Finance & Investing — building wealth beyond a traditional career path

Entertainment & Sports — the convergence of creators, athletes, media brands and live cultural moments

Transformation — the growth plan that gets you a C-suite or board seat or the seat of your dreams beyond your résumé

How does a Wing work? Each Wing has a dedicated WhatsApp group for the ongoing conversation and a virtual workshop each quarter, led by its founding leaders. Lightweight on purpose — no extra tools to learn, no attendance requirements.

Who leads them? Founding leaders drawn from our own membership. Learn more about Wing leaders on our Membership page.

How many Wings can I join? As many as are relevant to you. Most members find one or two are where they actually spend time.

How do I get into a Wing? Tell us in your member profile. We'll place you and add you to the groups. You can change your mind anytime — message us.

Are Wings included in membership? Yes. Wings, their workshops, and their WhatsApp groups are all included at no extra cost.

When are the first workshops? Our first Wing workshops will be in Q4 2026, and will be featured as topic centerpieces at the BABL Executive Retreat in November 2026.

Can I lead or host a Wing workshop? Yes — we want members leading these. Email Katie at katie@bablhq.com. with the topic you'd want to run.

What are Regional Communities? Groups of BABLs in the same market. They exist so BABL isn't only something that happens in New York or within the BABL WhatsApp Group — a place to connect locally, explore partnerships, make real friendships, and have a group of like-minded women to call wherever you travel.

How were the first regions chosen? Regions were based on where we received volunteers for leads and where most of our members are based, with goals to grow to the regions listed for 2027 based on interest. 

My city isn't on the list. You're still in the main community and welcome at every regional gathering — plenty of BABLs travel for them. If you'd like to see your market added, email us. New regions launch when there's a critical mass of members and someone willing to lead.

How does a region work? A WhatsApp subgroup, run by a regional leader who lives there. Leaders shape what happens locally — meet-ups, dinners, coffee, whatever suits their market.

How do I become a Regional leader? Email Katie at katie@bablhq.com. Regional leaders are featured on the BABL website as part of our leadership, first look at upcoming workshops and events, and a real hand in shaping BABL. In exchange we ask you to moderate your group, evangelize BABL locally, facilitate meet-ups as you see fit, advise us on regional dinners and venues, and join the quarterly leadership meeting.

The BABL WhatsApp community is how the magic of BABL started. It’s where our members organically meet, connect, share recommendations, and make deals happen.

Wing Sub-Communities – the place to connect with your Wing members 

Regional Communities – the place to connect with other BABLs in your region, or when you’re traveling to that region 

Is the Job Board just job postings? It's better than that. It's senior women sharing roles inside their own companies, roles they're leaving, and roles they're quietly looking for — usually before anything hits LinkedIn, and usually with a warm introduction attached.

What is the Marketplace for? Finding and vouching for professional services and vendors: lawyers, accountants, PR, design, coaches, event producers, recruiters. It's also the one BABL space where promoting your own services is welcome — because everywhere else, it isn't.

Can I sell my services to other members? In the Marketplace, yes. Anywhere else in BABL, no — unsolicited selling is against our Code of Conduct and is grounds for removal. If a member asks you for a proposal, that's an invitation and you should absolutely take it.

Are events included in my membership? Membership includes access to the community, the Wings and their workshops, your Regional Community, the Job Board and Marketplace, and invitations to all-BABL events like our Ally cocktail hours at major tentpole events.

Some experiences are curated for sponsors who are focused on curating events around specific goals and attendees.  

Some experiences are ticketed separately — notably the Executive Retreats — because they carry real per-person costs like venue, food, and accommodation.

What's coming up? Advertising Week gatherings in New York (October 5–6), regional dinners in select cities, the Executive Retreat in New Hope, PA, and our annual ally party.

Can I bring a guest? Often, yes — it varies by event and we'll say so on each invitation. You're responsible for your guest's conduct, and guests are one of our best sources of future members.

Can I sponsor a BABL event? Yes, and we'd love to talk. Members sponsor our events regularly. Email partnerships@bablhq.com.

Are there community rules? Yes — our Membership Guidelines & Code of Conduct. The short version: we don't sell to each other unsolicited, what's said in BABL stays in BABL, be your authentic self, keep it respectful, and no political campaigning.

Is what I share confidential? Yes. Members agree not to repeat, screenshot, or share what's discussed in BABL spaces without permission.

Will my information be shared with sponsors? We never sell or hand over member contact information. Sponsors of an event receive an attendee list for that event as a standard sponsor deliverable — you'll always know when you're attending a sponsored event, and you can ask to be excluded.
